The Lindros appearance is fantastic.

The 3 point all-czech goal a first? Who knew? You're the best.

Great game last night. The cold guys are putting up points. It would be nice to get Couturier, Talbot, and Jagr a few goals before the playoffs to make sure everyone has confidence going in against Pit.

Here is to the -1 Bobrovsky shutout. He played a good game yesterday. This is just an observation, not a criticism, but does it seem like Bob has lost some of his lateral movement. He doesnt seem as quick post to post as he did last year. I could be wrong.

Lets hope in June we can look back and say the Lindros practice is what inspired these guys to bring it to the next level and win the cup... That would be great.

I personally didn't notice this, but it could just be that Bob's been manning the bench door for a while, where last year he was playing more or less as our starter to this point.

Didn't notice his lateral movement as an issue, but he still looks so small in net.
Does a great job covering the low areas of the net, but he looks like he's almost laying on his stomach when he goes down in the butterfly.

Researched it myself on Flyershistory.com. It did not take long to find seasons where the Flyers had three Czechs on the team and then search to see if there were any with one scoring a goal assisted by the others. Plenty of goals with one fellow Czech assisting (either sole assist or with a non-Czech player drawing the other helper) but last night was the first three-pointer on the same play.

Yep, I'd imagine 2 starts in the last 6 weeks will hamper your game speed.

The fact that you even think to look into that stuff is what sets you apart from the rest

Simply put:

Bill, thanks for your work. It is a treat to read your nuggets of info that aren't found anywhere else.

Like Funmaster said; that you even think to look up info, such as the all czech goal, is what sets you apart from the rest.

Games should be much tougher this weekend. Flyers only two points behind the Pens for home ice.

Nice win.

I tell ya, of the video I saw of Lindros from yesterday, he was really busting it out there. The guy can still play. It is too bad his injury problems forced him to retire because he was the most exciting player I ever saw. And his skills, even after years from the game, were and are still evident in abundance.

Ahhh, what could have been......

A young Lindros could get 70+ goals and 150 pts. in this league the way it is now.

Still my favorite player of all time.

it's just a pleasure to see him come back into the fold. he's a big part of this franchise and a lot of the mending has to do with Homer.
Lindros never really enjoyed the media portion but he handles it well.

I still love the quote from him about the alumni game and the city. He was amazed of the turn out when it came to the alumni game. It was sell out for an alumni game.
